Declaration of Candidacy

The Associated Student Body (ASB) is a student organization and class that is designed for the student interested in learning basic concepts of democratic government, leadership skills, parliamentary procedures, group processes, leadership practice, planning, and organization in practical school situations. Students in ASB are responsible for, but not limited to, Football Homecoming Week, Basketball Homecoming Week, Junior & Senior Proms, Blood Drives, Talent Show, Academic & Athletic Recognition Programs, Spirit Wear Sales, Class Activities, and the Club Fair. Each student in ASB holds a specified position within the organization, which they receive through election or appointment. Students interested in joining this dynamic class must submit an application, be interviewed, and receive favorable teacher recommendations. The application process will coincide with preregistration dates that occur in February. If you have questions about the class, please speak to Mr. Valdivia.
