Enterprise High School and Marquis Shasta have teamed together to establish a relationship that is enriching for both the students at EHS and the senior residents who reside at Marquis. From various sporting events to parent club fundraisers, the residents at Marquis have enjoyed getting into the community to engage with the high school students. Additionally, students at EHS have connected with the senior residents at Marquis by volunteering their time for activities and events; the EHS Homecoming Court even escorted Marquis Shasta’s Royal Court down the red carpet at the annual Rose Tea Ceremony this year!

This intergenerational experience develops a sense of meaning within the residents at Marquis while teaching the high school students the importance of “giving back”. Our students learn the value of what these residents mean to our community, our history and now our school…truly exhibiting the meaning of Vitality throughout the generations.
