Programs and Services Locations:
ROP classes occur on high school campuses, at the ROP campus
site, 4659 Eastside Rd, Redding, and in community classroom (industry) sites.
Students are bussed to sites and some students drive to sites. Class times
are somewhat flexible to allow for transportation issues.
Through training in the career area of their choice, ROP students learn
communication, critical thinking, professionalism, and technical skills
that prepare them to succeed in any career in which they eventually work.

Mission: The
Mission of the Shasta-Trinity ROP is to provide exemplary career education
and workforce preparation that contribute to student academic and career
success and to the economic development of California.

Philosophy: Through
industry and education partnerships, the Shasta-Trinity ROP provides high
school and adult students with current, relevant instruction that meets
the entry-level employment needs of the communities we serve. Through courses
offered by the Shasta-Trinity ROP, all ROP students shall have the opportunity
to learn marketable skills in order to become gainfully employed.

Link to College Most
of the Shasta-Trinity ROP courses allow for students to earn Shasta College
credit as well as high school credits upon successful course completion,
creating a tremendous college "Jump start" opportunity.
The results of this unique curriculum is that ROP students are well prepared
for any employment and are also well prepared for 2-year or 4-year college
and other post-secondary educational opportunities and challenges.
